Key Responsibilities

Review project blueprints and specifications to prepare accurate estimates for structural steel projects.
Conduct takeoffs to determine the quantity and type of materials required for each project.
Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand project requirements and constraints.
Utilize cost estimation software and tools to aid in the estimation process.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations of estimates for internal and external stakeholders.
Monitor market trends and prices for materials to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.
Assist in budget management and procurement processes for steel materials.
Support the supply chain management team in sourcing materials and negotiating with vendors.

Required Qualifications

5+ years structural steel estimating experience
Tekla, Bluebeam, BidWizard, and/or Etakeoff experience

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
